ChemInform Reaction Library

Information that enables chemists to predict the suitability of synthetic methods for the design of novel molecules focusing on the latest novel reactions and methods for organic synthesis.

ChemInform Reaction Library (CIRX) is the best source for the synthesis of novel organic compounds, providing scope and limitations of reactions and targeted, highly relevant hit sets.

In the display files, selected functional groups show what to expect using different substitution patterns, e.g., electron demanding/donating groups in respect of the yield for a selected transformation. Database information on chemo- and regioselective reactions, make it especially useful for identifying viable routes to novel compounds.

The collection is selected, abstracted, and organized by FIZ CHEMIE Berlin and then classified according to reaction type using InfoChem reaction classification technology.

All areas of organic chemistry are abstracted, including:

  • Improved synthetic methods and application of known reagents
  • Applications of known methods to the synthesis of new compounds
  • Use of organo-element compounds and new catalysts
  • Enzymatic and microbial processes
  • Heterocyclic chemistry and natural product synthesis

The Current Synthetic Methodology database is a subset of CIRX. The Symyx Reference Library of Synthetic Methodology database is included with CIRX.
